Pecan Pie ========== Cinnamon Bun Pecan Pie Recipe from http://www.ohnuts.com/blog/cinnamon-bun-pecan-pie-recipe/ Ingredients: * 1x 9-inch pie dough * 2 cups toasted pecan halves * 3/4 cup dark corn syrup (or light syrup if unavailable) * 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar * 2 tsp molasses * 3 tbsp melted butter * 3 large eggs, at room temperature * 1 tsp vanilla extract * 1/2 tsp salt * 2 tsp ground cinnamon Procedure: #. Butter pie pan #. Place pie dough in pan #. Press pie dough down so there are no gaps #. Crimp edges of dough with a fork #. Place dough in fridge #. Toast pecans and let cool #. Preheat oven to 375F #. Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, and molasses in bowl until combined #. Add melted butter, combine #. Add eggs one at a time, combine #. Add vailla, salt, cinnamon, combine until uniform #. Place pecans in pie crust, carefully pour in liquid filling #. Bake at 375F for 15 minutes #. Cover crust with foil #. Lower temperature to 350F, bake for 20-25 minutes or until center does not jiggle when tapped Extra Fancy Pecan Pie ---------------------- Extras for Fancy Version add: * 1 tbsp melted butter * 2 tsp ground cinnamon Fancy Version Procedure: #. Roll out chilled dough until 1/4 in thick #. Brush with melted butter #. Sprinkle with cinnamon and spread evenly #. Roll dough into a tight spiral #. Refrigerate/freeze until firm (optional) #. Cut into 1/2 inch rounds #. Rub pie tin with butter #. Place rounds in pie tin so they are touching #. Flatten with fingers so they expand and fill the gaps #.
